About Broadly Epi

Broadly Epi is an independent public-health publication and learning resource. We help readers keep up with developments in public health, look past the terminology and headlines, and learn how evidence is produced, interpreted, and applied.

We publish news and analysis, plain-language explainers, public-health history, data and code tutorials, study resources, and curated guides. Our aim is practical: to make public-health information more understandable for curious readers, students, people moving into public-health work, and practitioners seeking a clear starting point.

We do not replace public-health agencies, clinical guidance, or professional advice. We report what is known, identify important limits and uncertainty, and link readers to primary sources and relevant public institutions whenever possible. When evidence is incomplete or contested, we say so.

Broadly Epi is built around the idea that public-health literacy should not depend on insider language or sensational headlines. We want people to be able to ask better questions, understand the context behind a claim, and use information thoughtfully in their communities, studies, and work.
